Twisted ankles, broken bones and dehydration: Medical providers from HealthPartners and Regions Hospital prepared to treat those ailments and more
HealthPartners selected as the official medical provider for 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Championships Jan. 20-27
St. Paul, Minn., Take a first-hand look behind the scenes to learn the medical preparations as local physicians prepare to care for the elite skaters during the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Championships taking place at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul next week. Physicians from the HealthPartners Medical Group and Regions Hospital have been selected to serve as the official medical providers for the event.
Who:Orthopaedic physicians Peter Cole, M.D., and Ralph Bovard, M.D., are the event's co-medical directors with about 100 physicians from the orthopaedic and emergency departments taking shifts during the week-long event.
When: Physicians available for interviews daily from 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the event.
