Our Staff
Our staff includes highly skilled emergency medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurses, resident physicians and medical students. Although you may be cared for by many people in the Emergency Center, one staff physician is responsible for your overall care. Our staff includes:
Emergency Medicine Staff Physicians evaluate your condition and coordinate your treatment in the emergency center.
Physicians Assistants perform physical exams, evaluate patients and order appropriate tests under the supervision of a staff physician.
Emergency Center Nurses are involved in the initial evaluation of patients. They also assist physicians in the treatment and continuing care of patients in the emergency room.
Emergency Medicine Residents are training to become Emergency Medicine physicians. They assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients under the supervision of a staff physician.
Medical Students are part of the patient care team and see patients under the supervision of a senior staff physician. The medical student rotation program is offered through our affiliation with the University of Minnesota Medical School.
