Chaplains

Chaplains can help you and your family draw upon spiritual resources for strength and meaning. They help people from all faith traditions and practices. As part of the health care team, chaplains provide spiritual and emotional support, comfort, and guidance. They can also help you deal with your problems, especially if you have a great deal of emotional and spiritual distress. Having someone to listen to you and care about you can help you feel better. There is also a priest available to provide support, blessings, and sacraments to Catholic patients and family members.

A chaplain is in the hospital from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm Monday through Friday. There is a chaplain on call at all other times for emergency requests. If you want to speak with a chaplain or the Catholic priest, please ask your nurse to contact the chaplaincy department.
