Two new neurosurgeons join Regions Hospital
New hires part of growing Neurosurgery and Spine practice
St. Paul, Minn. - Regions Hospital today announced that Dr. Alex Mendez and Dr. Jeff Golan have joined the Department of Neurosurgery. Mendez and Golan will perform both cranial and spinal surgery.
Dr. Mendez previously practiced in Fargo, N.D. He completed his post-graduate work at the University of Minnesota. In addition to cranial-based neurosurgical procedures, Dr. Mendez specializes in both complex and minimally invasive spine surgery.
Dr. Golan recently completed fellowships at Ohio State University and the Medical College of Wisconsin, advancing his practice in the areas of spinal oncology and minimally invasive spine techniques.
Regions Department of Neurosurgery service line continues to expand, particularly in areas such as minimally invasive spine surgery and surgery for cranial and spinal tumors. The department now consists of four neurosurgeons and one orthopaedic spine surgeon.
