Laura Hanson is a free-lance writer who lives with her husband, Rick, and son, Garrett, in Minneapolis. She has a BA degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. After working several years in public relations and corporate communications, Laura is delighted to finally pursue creative projects of personal interest. This is her first children's book. Susan Clayton and her husband, Matt, reside in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. She is a full-time mom to Austin and Andy. Ms. Clayton graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in American Art and History. "A Baseball for Ben" is Susan's first effort at illustration and layout of a children's book. Kathleen Schwartz, OTR, has been a therapist with the Burn Center at Regions Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota, for several years, and often assists child burn survivors with their re-entry into school and community following a burn injury. Ms. Schwartz graduated from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul and has spent the majority of her career in burn care. Kathy and her husband, Nick, have a son, Calvin.
