Specialty Certification

Professional certification is highly valued and supported at Regions. Certification in a specialty area is a way to develop both personally and professionally. Obtaining certification shows dedication to his/her practice and also helps to advance a nurse's career by opening doors to new nursing opportunities. Certification validates the skills and knowledge that a nurse has developed through continued education. In addition, certification is a way for a nurse to be nationally recognized by federal, state and local agencies.

When certification in a nursing specialty is achieved, our nurses are reimbursed for the certification fee. In addition, they receive professional and financial recognition on a yearly basis.
