Favorite Place to Receive a Mammogram
We are proud to announce the Breast Health Center at Regions was voted as the 2007 "Favorite Place to Receive a Mammogram" by readers of Minnesota Womens Press.
Digital Mammography
The Breast Health Center at Regions Hospital has recently upgraded its traditional film-screen mammography units to digital. While film-screen images provide excellent images of the breasts, the primary advantage to digital mammography is that it detects cancer in very dense breasts slightly more frequently than traditional film-screen mammograms. The Breast Health Center at Regions Hospital is at the national forefront of using the new digital technology; 90 percent of mammography units nationwide still use film-screen images.
