Geriatric Trauma Summit focuses on aging: falls, fractures and osteoporosis
St. Paul, Minn., - Regions Hospital orthopaedic medicine and surgery department and the HealthPartners Medical Group and Clinics, in partnership with the University of Minnesota, are holding their second annual Geriatric Trauma Summit for medical professionals in September.

Participants will learn how to best care for fragility fractures, discuss care issues for vulnerable geriatric patients, learn techniques and tools to fix geriatric fractures and improve bone health through case presentations, lectures and workshops.

Participants will also be introduced to a new geriatric care model being developed at Regions Hospital with emphasis to all aspects of care and care delivery in addition to specific fracture management.
