News Release October 23, 2007 Cold weather wont stop St. Paul from walking Regions Hospital and HealthPartners kick off 10,000 Steps® Program on Wednesday at Xcel Energy Center St. Paul, Minn., - Regions Hospital, the HealthPartners 10,000 Steps® program and the Xcel Energy Center have teamed up again this year to bring an exciting indoor walking program to St. Paul. The 10,000 Steps® program kicks off on Wednesday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The program provides an indoor atmosphere so everyone can stay in shape during Minnesota's winter months. Nearly 200 walkers from St. Paul-area businesses and the community are expected to take their first lap of the season during the kick-off event. Following the kick-off event, walking times will be made available to the public on the club level of the Xcel Energy Center every Tuesday, Wednesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in accordance with arena availability, through April 25, 2008. WHAT: 10,000 Steps® walking program WHO: Everyone is invited to participate: * $20 fee for HealthPartners members * $25 fee for non-members The fee includes a pedometer and program materials. WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. The first 150 people registered will receive a free lunch and beverage.
