Regions emergency physician accepts internal role as medical director of informatics

St. Paul, Minn., – Brad Gordon, M.D., M.S., began a new position within Regions Hospital as medical director of informatics on Oct. 1.

In his new role, Dr. Gordon works closely with the Regions medical staff and the HealthPartners Medical Group to optimize the integrated electronic medical record system. In addition, he continues to work as an emergency department physician.

Dr. Gordon has practiced medicine at Regions since 1999 and has been a staff physician in the Emergency Medicine Department since 2002. He is also a physician within the HealthPartners Medical Group. He has a degree in health informatics and has served as a physician lead in the hospital's electronic health record implementation.
