From the desk of: Christine Boese, RN, MS vice president of patient care services |
I am proud and grateful to be a member of the Regions nursing team. We have some of the most knowledgeable and caring nurses I have ever met. The dedication and quest for providing the best care for our patients is moving and inspiring.
At Regions, the patient is the center of all we do. Our hospital vision, to be the patient-centered hospital of choice for our community, is lived out each day by our nurses, whether they are in a patient room, entering orders or assisting family members.
We provide superb clinical care to patients using the best tools and knowledge available. Partnering with multiple disciplines, using evidence-based practices, and participating in nationwide patient safety initiatives such as the Institute for Healthcare Improvements' 100,000 Lives Campaign, enable us to provide knowledgeable, expert nursing care to our patients. New technologies such as Vocera communications devices (which help us spend more time at our patients' bedside) and our electronic health record (which enables us to quickly access patient information) have also contributed to positive patient outcomes.
While the environment in which we work includes the latest technologies and practices, it is also one that stresses a culture of caring - not only for our patients, but for one another. Our nurses are respected members of interdisciplinary health care teams, and our Healthy Workplace emphasizes two-way communication, patience, respect and compassion toward one another, making Regions Hospital a great place to work.
Our nursing model, called Relationship-Based Care, enables Regions nurses to establish caring relationships with our patients and their families; through this, extraordinary care becomes the ordinary. Our nurses make a proud difference in the lives of our patients every day. For these reasons and so many more, I am thankful and honored to be a member of the Regions nursing team.
