Hospitalist Provide Special Expertise
An experienced team of hospital-based physicians, called hospitalists, care for many of our patients during their hospital stay. Our team of hospitalists is on-site seven days per week, 24 hours a day. Their job is to help oversee your care working with all the different hospital departments, such as imaging, lab and pharmacy, to ensure that you receive the best, most personalized care.

For many patients, instead of being seen onsite by your primary care physician while hospitalized, a hospitalist will oversee your care during your hospital stay. Your primary physician will communicate with your hospital physician (hospitalist) to make sure he or she receives all your relevant medical information. Your primary care physician and the hospitalist team communicate frequently to develop the best treatment plans for you.

Our hospitalists also work closely with a team of nurse practitioners who may care for you. These nurses have advanced education and expertise in hospital medicine and will help oversee your care, along with your hospital physician. By working as a team, we provide our patients the best continuity of care possible.
