Regions Hospital Receives the Silver Performance Award for Stroke Care - September 2008 The Regions Hospital stroke program has recently been awarded Silver Performance Achievement Award by the American Stroke Association. This level of achievement is awarded only to hospitals following the Stroke Associations Get with the Guidelines processes on patient care. With this achievement, patients can be ensured the hospital follows strict guidelines, benchmarks performance against national standards and provides timely and effective acute stroke care. The American Stroke Association has evaluated Regions stroke program based on seven specific performance measures aimed to improve acute stroke treatment and preventing secondary events. |
