HealthPartners Sleep Health Center - A department of Regions Hospital State-of-the-art Sleep Testing Accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, our Sleep Health Center is the first comprehensive hospital-based sleep center in the east metro and one of the largest in the entire region. The facility recently moved from Regions Hospital's main campus to an off-campus stand-alone site in Maplewood in order to expand services. Care and testing is provided by our team of certified sleep physicians, registered sleep technologists, respiratory therapists and home equipment providers. We use a variety of sophisticated tests to evaluate your condition and recommend a personalized course of treatment. Oftentimes, an overnight stay is required to conduct sleep testing. Our soothing, private bedroom suites feature Select Comfort® (Sleep Number®) beds, flat screen TVs, private bathrooms, wireless internet access and room darkening window treatments. Common tests include: Polysomnogram - This test records your physical state during various stages of sleep and wakefulness, including your brain waves, oxygen saturation, airflow and more. Multiple sleep latency test - This test measures how long it takes to fall asleep and monitors your sleep patterns through a series of naps. Maintenance of wakefulness test - This test is performed to assess a person's ability to stay awake during a time when they are sitting quietly. Follow-up Care After careful analysis of your personal history and sleep test results, our sleep health team provides you with a follow up plan of care and will work with you to determine the best course of treatment and management for your condition. Your referring physician will receive a complete report of your diagnosis and treatment plan. Home Equipment Treatment options may include home equipment, such as CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure equipment), to help you sleep better. Home equipment rental and purchasing is available right onsite. For more information on our home equipment, please call our on-site equipment specialist at 651-254-8154.
