Outpatient Mental Health Services
Outpatient mental health services are provided to Deaf and Hard of Hearing people by the Health and Wellness Program (HWP) staff in a variety of locations:
- Regions Hospital-East Section (St. Paul)
- Hennepin County Health Services Building (Minneapolis)
- Regional Service Center/Rehabilitation Services (St. Cloud)
- Various remote sites using video-conferencing technology
HWP's mental health therapists provide individual, group, couples and family sessions for a wide range of life issues such as:
- Abuse
- Addictions
- Anxiety disorders
- Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
- Behavior problems
- Childhood trauma
- Crisis intervention
- Family of origin
- Grief recovery
- Medication management
- Mood disorders (depression)
- Parenting issues
- Personality problems
- Psycho-diagnostic evaluation
- Relationship issues
- School and work adjustment
- Thought disorders
HWP staff has also provided Relapse Prevention groups, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (D.B.T.) skills groups and a psychoeducational group to teach about general life skills and mental health issues.
