Spine School

Spine School, presented by a physical therapist, gives information about managing and preventing spine pain. Basic but important information is covered including: basic spine anatomy, sitting and sleeping comfort, the importance of regular exercise, safe lifting and carrying techniques, maintaining a healthy attitude and proper posture.

This class is appropriate and safe for all people with spine pain. The information applies regardless of your diagnosis, the location of your spine pain or your age. The class can be helpful for varying degrees of pain, or whether the problem is surgical or non-surgical.

You will not be asked to do vigorous exercise or anything you feel unable to do. You will be encouraged to ask questions and interact with the physical therapist.

Our teaching methods include: handouts, lecture, slides and demonstration of techniques. We limit the class size to 15 so we can give you personal attention. And parking is free!

If you think you may benefit from this class, consult your physician. (A referral from your physician is necessary to participate.) The class is offered at least once a month.
