Emergency Medicine Begins in the Street

For more than 25 years, the Emergency Medical Services program at Regions Hospital has been a vital link between the health care professional delivering state-of-the-art emergency care in the street and the hospital emergency department.

Our services encompass the full spectrum of emergency care including innovative medical direction, extensive education offerings and EMS system quality assurance.

EMS clients benefit immediately from our extensive involvement in local, regional and national EMS organizations. R.J. Frascone, M.D., our medical director, is a nationally recognized EMS leader. Our clinical care supervisors are certified by the National EMS Medical Directors Course and Practicum, and our entire staff is active in industry organizations.

Our clients also receive the benefits of our affiliations with a Level I Trauma Center and its various trauma and critical care units, including a nationally verified Burn Center and the Regions Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency program.

All Regions Hospital EMS staff are continuously involved in local, regional and national emergency medicine research projects, including new product testing. When changes in the EMS field happen, you'll learn about them from us first!
