 | Toxicology
The Clinical Toxicology Consulting Service is a formal consulting and education service specializing in clinical toxicology and pharmacotoxicalogy problems and patient management issues. It is a section of the Regions Hospital Emergency Center. The service provides consultation in medical toxicology, clinical pharmacology, drug interactions and inadvertent toxicities to adult and pediatric patients. Comprehensive, educational consultations for inpatients and outpatients are available in a timely manner.
We also provide education to the community on current drugs of abuse and drug-facilitated assaults.
Services provided:
- Expertise in clinical toxicology and case management of poisoned and overdosed patients
- Drug to drug interaction and drug identification information
- Literature searches on various toxins
- Educational sessions on specific toxins and exposures can also be provided in a conference forum. Our staff are available to speak on a variety of topics geared to both the professional and lay audience.
