Wheelchair Seating Evaluation

If you are in need of a wheelchair and seating system or a modification to your current system our physical therapy clinics provide a wheelchair and seating program.

The program includes a thorough evaluation in which strength, sensation, posture and balance are assessed. A vendor is present during the initial evaluation to assist in determining the appropriate wheelchair to meet your needs. The vendor may also provide a trial wheelchair to be used in your home setting for a brief amount of time. The wheelchair that best meets your needs will be determined and a physical therapist will complete a letter of medical necessity that will be submitted for approval by your insurance company.
