Who We Are

The Regions Hospital School of Ophthalmic Medical Technology was established in 1966 for the purpose of training ophthalmic allied health professionals. Our 21-month program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ophthalmic Medical Programs (CoA-OMP). We are the only ophthalmic medical technologist program in the region.

In addition to the academic program for ophthalmic medical technologists, we conduct an annual two and one-half day continuing education program for ophthalmic medical personnel. This meeting draws registrants from throughout the Midwest. Since 1977, we have been recognized as a provider of quality continuing education courses for the ophthalmic allied health professional. The 2007 meeting will be held May 18-20 at the Airport Hilton Hotel in Bloomington, MN.
