Regions Hospital honors friends of Emergency Medical Services
Carol Pool's commitment and dedication are key to EMS success

St. Paul, Minn., -- Carol Pool was one of four individuals recognized at the Regions Hospital Emergency Medical Services (EMS) annual rig wash on May 17 during National Emergency Medical Services Week. Pool, who serves as director of the Unity Area Ambulance Service, was honored for her commitment and dedication to EMS over the years.

"Carol is a natural leader. She is smart, engaging, politically active and cares about the patients she serves, which shows in her work," says Joe Jensen, EMS coordinator for Regions Hospital. "She is a key player in assisting in emergency medical education and training. Carol is one of the most delightful people I know and a great partner to Regions EMS."

Pool, of Milltown, Wis., has been both a local and regional leader in EMS for more than 20 years. She is a licensed EMT-intermediate and an active emergency responder.
