September 23. 2005 HealthPartners Medical Group Hires Pathologist St. Paul, Minn. Janet Beneke, M.D., will join HealthPartners Medical Group and begin working at Regions Hospital as a pathologist in October of 2005. Dr. Beneke earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in bacteriology from Iowa State University before earning a Ph.D. in microbiology from the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and the University of Minnesota. She earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas Medical School before completing a residency and surgical fellowship at the University of Minnesota's Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Dr. Beneke is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, the American Society for Microbiology and the Ramsey County Medical Society. Dr. Beneke joins the team at Regions after more than 20 years of medical education and practice in Minnesota.
