Two interventional cardiologists join Regions Hospital
ST. PAUL, Minn. - Interventional cardiologists Johannes Brechtken, M.D., and Timinder Biring, M.D., recently joined the Regions Hospital Heart Center and HealthPartners Medical Group.
Dr. Brechtken, recently completed his fellowship at the University of Minnesota and Abbott Northwestern and VAMC; and Dr. Biring, was a staff cardiologist at the Austin Diagnostic Clinic and instructor in the department of cardiology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. The two physicians join three other interventionalists who practice at Regions.
Regions interventional cardiologists and their support team perform procedures to treat cardiovascular disease such as heart catheterization, angioplasty and stent implantations. With the addition of Drs. Brechtken and Biring, Regions Heart Center and HPMG have a medical team of approximately 25 cardiologists, interventionalists, electrophysiologists and cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, making it one of the largest cardiac centers in the state.
