Regions experts explore the mysteries of breast pain
Free educational seminars offered during the fall

St. Paul, Minn., Regions experts will offer free educational seminars to the public throughout the fall to explore the mysteries of breast pain and offer information on the causes, treatment and prevention associated with it. Attendees will learn to differentiate between normal breast pain and warning signs to know when to visit a physician. Breast pain is not a common symptom of cancer.

As many as 70 percent of women experience breast pain. Although common and often harmless, breast pain can be concerning to those who have it. There are many reasons a women may experience breast pain, including hormone level changes related to menstruation, pregnancy, puberty, breastfeeding or approaching menopause. Other possible causes include alcoholism, fibrocystic breast changes and premenstrual syndrome (PMS).

All sessions take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
