Regions named one of nation's top 100 heart hospitals
St. Paul, Minn., – Regions Hospital today was named one of the nation's 2007 Thomson 100 Top Hospitals® for cardiovascular care based on the Cardiovascular Benchmarks for Success Study by Thomson Healthcare, formerly Solucient.
"Being named a top 100 hospital comes as a result of the hard work and dedication from our cardiology staff and physicians, coupled with the excellent care provided to patients and an investment to use the best technology available," said Gretchen Leiterman, vice president of Regions Heart Center. "We are honored to be named among the best of the best."
The 100 Top Hospitals results were published in the Nov. 19 edition of Modern Healthcare magazine. The study looks at eight measures of clinical processes and outcomes, volume, efficiency and cost for four critical cardiovascular treatment areas: acute myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, coronary artery bypass graft and percutaneous coronary intervention.
