Kristen L. Swan, MA, LP
Ms. Swan is the Administrative Supervisor of the Health and Wellness Program and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Minnesota. She received her BA in Communication Disorders from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and her MA in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota.
She has worked with Deaf and Hard of Hearing people since 1976, first as a parish worker at a church for the deaf, then as a director of the Supervised Apartment Living Training program (SALT) and finally as the family therapist at the Minnesota Chemical Dependency Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People. In 1990, she joined the staff of the Health and Wellness Program as a mental health therapist.
Ms. Swan's responsibilities include administrative management of grants, and providing psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, groups and families of all ages. She travels to St. Cloud to provide direct services to clients in that region, as well as remote access psychotherapy services to people throughout the state.
Sign Language Interpreters:
Interpreters provide services at Regions Hospital & Clinics as well as the new HealthPartners Specialty Center.

There are five additional on-call interpreters who share the Emergency Center coverage with the daytime interpreters.
There have been Sign language interpreters on staff at Regions Hospital since 1975. The interpreters at Regions Hospital have over 100 years of collective medical interpreting experience. The qualifications of the staff interpreters include:
- Certification through the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
- Degrees in:
- Interpreting
- Psychology
- Organizational Administration
- Social Work
- Nursing (R.N.)
- Spanish
