Expert Care and More
Established in 1972, the Regions Hospital Alcohol and Drug Dependency Program has the experience and tools to help our clients succeed. Our staff of licensed drug and alcohol counselors are supported by a team of health care professionals.

Our unique expertise matching clients with appropriate community resources has been integral to our success. Through long-established community relationships with social service and county agencies and financial and housing organizations, we help clients connect with appropriate community resources to support their long-term recovery.

Programs
While the level of treatment and length of recovery programs differ with every client, the first step is an individual assessment. We help our clients examine their relationship with mood-altering chemicals and develop a realistic plan for intervention. Assessments are available during daytime and evening hours.

Different Level of Care to Meet Your Needs
After the assessment, an individualized treatment plan is recommended. Each program includes group therapy, individual and family counseling. We work with our clients to develop a healthier lifestyle with new patterns of coping and adjusting. We also work closely with community organizations to address legal, housing, financial and other issues that may affect our clients' abilities to succeed.

Residential Program- Day Treatment Plus
This program serves as a treatment option for clients who need a stable sober environment as part of their initial recovery process. Clients must have completed any medically necessary detoxification before they can be admitted. The program offers intensive support for clients as they develop their own recovery plan. Treatment services in this phase last the entire day and include individual counseling sessions and lectures. Temporary housing is available, but some clients may also be able to progress to the point of staying at home, and participating in the program during the day. A family program is also provided to support and educate family members of clients.

Outpatient Program
We offer both morning and evening group options, including gender specific programming. Morning groups meet from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, for six weeks, followed by 10-12 weeks of Recovery Maintenance groups on Thursdays. Evening groups meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for six weeks, followed by 10 to 12 weeks of Recovery Maintenance groups on Wednesdays.

The Recovery Maintenance groups provide clients with ongoing program support, and are an integral part of treatment because they help link clients with necessary community groups. Family program is also provided to support and educate family members of clients.

Outpatient Relapse Prevention Program
This program is designed to help clients who have previously had treatment and even periods of successful recovery, but are now experiencing renewed problems with substance abuse. Clients are assisted in developing personal relapse prevention plans. Groups meet 5:30-8:30 p.m., Mondays and Thursdays, over an eight week period, followed by 12 weeks of Recovery Maintenance on Tuesdays.

We offer both morning and evening group options for counseling, including gender-specific programs. Morning groups meet from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesday through Friday, followed by aftercare support. Evening groups are offered at our two locations and meet from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday for five weeks, followed by 12 to 20 weeks of aftercare support.

Aftercare provides clients with ongoing program support and helps link them with necessary community support groups. A family program is also provided to support and educate clients' families.

Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is offered for those who don't need a structured treatment program, but would benefit from individual counseling sessions to help deal with specific issues.
