The Burn Center was specially designed with the latest equipment to help patients recover from their burn injuries. Some features include several private critical care rooms that are individually temperature controlled to keep patients comfortable. We also use specially designed bathtubs to provide comfort for people with burn injuries and have a large rehabilitation department just for our patients. Regions Hospital is verified as a regional burn center by the American Burn Association through the American College of Surgeons. That means we are committed to meeting stringent standards of care for our patients. Pioneer and Leader in Burn Care In 1963, the Burn Center at Regions Hospital became one of the country's first burn centers. At that time, specialized care for burn injuries was a new idea. Our hospital developed a highly skilled team of physicians, nurses and therapists who were dedicated to advancing burn care, research and rehabilitation. Through the years, the Burn Center has continued its dedication to developing and pioneering new techniques in burn care. Today, we are a nationally known burn center. Regions Hospital has a charitable foundation to advance patient care, research and education.
