Medical Library
The Regions Hospital Medical Library provides current and authoritative medical information in support of patient care, education and research. Staffed by professional medical librarians, the collection consists of both print and electronic resources. Print resources include core reference books, general text books for most disciplines and journals retained at least 15 years with major journal titles collected back 50 years. Online resources include an extensive journal list of over 700 titles plus 12 databases, four with online books.

The Medical Library offers a variety of services including literature searches, inter-library loan, group or individual database instruction and library orientation. Library services are available to all Regions Hospital and HealthPartners physicians, residents, students, nurses, allied health professionals, researchers and administrators.

Grand rounds
Regions Hospital created Community Grand Rounds as part of our goal to assist you in continuing to provide your patients with quality medical care. Community Grand Rounds brings education and training to your hospital, clinic or other place of business at no cost to you. Choose a medical topic of your choice, and one of our medical or professional staff will prepare and deliver a customized presentation.

We have experts on staff who can present on almost any medical topic you request. Here are some recently requested Community Grand Rounds presentations that might help you decide on a topic appropriate for your staff:
- Trauma case reviews: staff attending to trauma patients who were transferred to Regions Hospital review the case with the referring hospital or clinic and provide updates on the patient’s progress
- Rapid sequence intubations

Earn education credits
HealthPartners Institute for Medical Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. Community Grand Rounds events may quality for up to two hours in Category 1 credit toward American Medical Association’s Physician’s Recognition Award. Physicians should claim only the hours spent in educational activities. Nurses and other health care professionals who attend a Community Grand Rounds presentation will receive certificates of attendance, which they may submit to the Minnesota Board of Nursing or their professional board for contact hours or continuing education credits.
