I am proud and grateful to be a member of the Regions nursing team. The dedication and quest for providing the best care for our patients is moving and inspiring.

At Regions, the patient is the center of all we do. Our hospital vision — to be the patient-centered hospital of choice for our community — is lived out each day by our nurses, whether they are in a patient room, a procedural area, a clinic, a surgical suite or in the Emergency department. We provide evidence-based clinical care to patients using the best practices and knowledge available. Partnering with multiple disciplines, and participating in nationwide patient safety initiatives such as the pursuit of the Triple Aim and statewide best practices that are sponsored by the Minnesota Hospital Association, enable us to provide knowledgeable, expert nursing care to our patients. Technologies such as Vocera communications devices (which help us spend more time at our patients’ bedsides) and our electronic health record (which enables us to quickly access patient information) have also contributed to positive patient outcomes.

While the environment in which we work includes the latest technologies and practices, it is also one that supports our culture of caring — not only for our patients but for one another. Our nurses are respected members of interdisciplinary health care teams and our Healthy Workplace framework emphasizes two-way communication, patience, respect and compassion toward one another, making Regions Hospital a great place to work.

Our patient/family-centered model of care supports nurses to establish caring relationships with our patients and their families, through which extraordinary care becomes the ordinary. Our nurses make a proud difference in the lives of our patients every day. For these reasons and so many more, I am thankful and honored to be a member of the Regions nursing team.
