To ensure effective communication, free sign language and oral interpreters, TTYs, and other services are available to deaf and hard-of-hearing patients at Regions Hospital.

Professionally trained medical language interpreters are on staff at the hospital for the following languages:

  • American Sign Language
  • Amharic
  • Cambodian/Khmer
  • Hmong
  • Oromo
  • Somali
  • Spanish
  • Vietnamese

Additional interpreters are available in up to 150 spoken languages, 24 hours a day.
