Ross M. Huelster, PA-C
- Practicing Department: Emergency Medicine
- Physician Assistant
As a youth and Boy Scout, I was interested in first aid and helping others who were injured. I worked as a nursing assistant in the Emergency Room at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center (which is now Regions Hospital), and it felt natural to gravitate to emergency medicine after completing my medical training.
As a physician assistant, I generally have more time to spend with patients than physicians do. Therefore, I am able to learn about patients' medical issues and have enough time to explain how their conditions came about and what they may expect.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, art museums, West African music and bebop jazz, travel and cross-country skiing. But most of all, I love being in the north woods, especially in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) and at, and on, Lake Superior.
