My specialty is hand therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation, from shoulder to fingertips. I enjoy working with orthopedic injuries, post-surgical as well as cumulative trauma. I also enjoy working with artists, musicians and athletes to optimize their performance after injury. I am skilled in the art of custom splint fabrication to assist patients in healthy recovery of upper extremity injuries. I also provide ADL, cognitive, visual-perceptual and neurorehabilitation for improved patient functioning in daily life. I believe healing is a team effort and encourage patients to be proactive in the process.
Throughout the past 20 years, I have also shared my occupational therapy/hand therapy skills overseas as well as volunteered my time in community efforts locally. Previously, I worked as trail staff with Wilderness Inquiry providing outdoor experiences for those of all ability levels. Currently, I volunteer my time and services with survivors of torture at a local center here in the twin cities.
In my free time, I enjoy triathlon training, trail running, dance/Pilates, sculpture and travel. I love being active and living in Minneapolis where I can take advantage of the great biking/walking paths, arts and restaurants.
