Burn Center
Leaders in burn care
Getting the right care for burns is important. In our Burn Center, you’ll be cared for by a highly skilled team of doctors, nurses and therapists who treat all kinds of burns and wounds, including thermal burns, electrical and chemical burns, frostbite, necrotizing soft tissue infections, exfoliative skin disorders and chronic wounds. They’ll take care of you and your family all the way from injury through rehabilitation in our state-of-the-art burn center.
We became one of the country’s first burn centers in 1963, back when specialized care for burns was a brand new idea. In 1995, our burn center was the first in Minnesota to be verified by the American College of Surgeons and the American Burn Association.
Our doctors have invented treatments and technologies that are used all over the world, like clear plastic masks for facial burns, and a treatment for frostbite that saves fingers and toes. In short, you couldn’t be in better hands.
