Warning signs: heart attack

Here are some of the common signs of a heart attack. If you feel you may be experiencing these symptoms, call 911 immediately. Every minute counts.

  • Chest discomfort
  • Discomfort in other areas of the upper body, such as one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach
  • Shortness of breath
  • Other signs may include breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness
