Nurses from the inpatient heart and vascular care unit received a 2010 Beacon Award for critical care excellence by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

Outstanding care for stroke patients

Regions Hospital’s Stroke Center received Minnesota’s first Get with the Guidelines Stroke – Gold Plus Award and has continued to receive this annual award (2011-2013).

Quality in Oncology

Regions Hospital has received the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) certification from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) for meeting the highest standards for quality cancer care.

Outstanding Cancer Care

Our Cancer Center, dedicated to a focus on quality improvement and health outcomes, received the "Three-Year with Commendation" and 2013 Outstanding Achievement awards from the American College of Surgeons.

Joint Commission/Core Measures

Regions Hospital was the only hospital in Minnesota to receive the highest ratings possible for quality care in cases of heart failure, heart attack, pneumonia, and surgical care.

Nation’s Top 100 in Heart Care

Care from the heart, for the heart. Regions has been recognized as one of the nation’s Top 100 Hospitals for Cardiovascular Care by Thomson Reuters.

Partner for Change

Award winners in this category have management support and infrastructure (commitment statement, steering committee, facility team, community engagement) and meet high benchmarks for recycling, mercury elimination and pollution prevention and sustainability programs.

Making Medicine Mercury Free – Regions

Award winners in this category have a mercury free commitment statement, an inventory of all mercury-containing items, and handling or clean-up procedures for mercury.

Top in Patient Safety

Safety still comes first. Regions has won the Patient Safety Excellence Award from the Minnesota Hospital Association’s Patient Safety Awards, including Safe Account, Safe from Falls, Safe Skin, Safe Site and Safe Count.

Better Mental Health

Regions received the 2010 Community Benefit Award for demonstrating a creative approach to meeting the community need through its Mental Health Drug Assistance program.
