Making a difference
Supporting our communities
We support many opportunities for employees to make a difference in our community and to the organizations and causes that mean the most to them.
For more than 140 years, Regions has served all patients in our community who come to us for care, whether or not they can afford to pay. Regions is privileged to continue our commitment to the community by expanding access to care, partnering to protect public health, building healthy communities and expanding medical knowledge.
Regions Hospital is committed to making a difference through our Cross Cultural Care and Service work. Also called culturally competent care, cross cultural care and service refers to the ability to honor and respect the beliefs, language and behaviors of individuals receiving services, as well as staff who are providing such services. This results in best outcomes for patients and reduces health disparities. Partnering with our patients, we learn how to ensure culturally competent care. Community listening sessions, data gathering and other partnerships help us measure the quality of care delivered and identify ways to ensure the delivery of equitable care.
We are leading the way to “Make it Ok”
Did you know that about one in four people will have some kind of mental illness in their lifetime? Yet the stigma associated with mental illness prevents many from seeking and receiving timely care. We’re leading the way to change that. As one of the largest providers of mental health services in the state, Regions is proud to partner with NAMI Minnesota to fight the stigma associated with mental illness. Visit makeitok.org to learn more about how you can help.
