Employee involvement and recognition
We have a long tradition of recognizing employees who go above and beyond to serve our patients, their families and each other.
The President’s and Wilbur Thomas Community Service Awards recognize exceptional employees working in partnership, nominated by their peers. Two more awards honor individuals who make a positive difference at Regions.
Recognizing individuals and teams for their commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
Owner of the Month
Honoring individuals who live our values each and every day, and consistently provide the best care and best experience to patients, families and each other.
We honor diversity
One of our core strengths is the dedication, experience and diversity of our colleagues. We foster inclusive environments where we value differences and seek to learn about our similarities. Our goal is to help each team member thrive as we work together to improve the health of our members, our patients and the community.
Our team members are involved
We count on colleagues to be involved by leading or participating in department-specific projects, numerous committees and volunteer activities. In addition, there are many opportunities for employees to share their feedback and become actively involved in making improvements at Regions.
Shared Governance gives bedside nurses and others the opportunity to partner with nurse leaders in making decisions that relate to their nursing practice and improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction. Joining our nursing team will begin a journey of collaboration, lifelong learning and positive impact on patient care.
Voice of the Employee
A program designed by employees as a means to solicit ideas from colleagues on how to enhance experience for patients, families, and employees.
Food for Thought
Hear the latest news, ask questions and share opinions and ideas while enjoying a casual breakfast or lunch with our president and CEO and other senior leaders.
Not So Undercover Boss
Our president and CEO shadows employees from various departments to get to know colleagues, understand their roles and share their passion for their jobs.
Annual Engagement Survey
Each year, colleagues across our organization share “what it’s like to walk in their shoes” by participating in our Annual Engagement Survey. This is just one of the ways we help identify what is going well and what we can improve to make our organization an even better place to work.
Hospital Forums and Team Talks
News from across the organization is presented by senior leaders at forums and team talks, which always incorporate fun themes such as Regions Olympics, The Great Regions Get Together, or Mythbusters! It’s also a time for senior leaders to hear from staff and answer questions.
