ABOUT

Community health needs

Committed to serving our community

At Regions Hospital, we are proud to have provided high-quality care to patients of all backgrounds and income levels for more than 140 years. Regions is one of three Minnesota hospitals that’s a Level 1 Trauma Center for both adults and children. That means we’re here 24/7 to respond to emergencies and protect your health and safety.

But it’s not enough just to provide care. We continually work to identify community needs and expand our medical knowledge so we can offer the most advanced medical services and programs.

Regions Hospital completes a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years as part of our ongoing commitment to helping our communities be healthier.

In 2021, we were part of a comprehensive CHNA that included all the hospitals in the HealthPartners system. In consult with the HealthPartners Institute, the assessment analyzed health data and input from community members to identify the biggest needs. Those top needs are:

  • Mental health and well-being
  • Access to health
  • Access to care
  • Nutrition and physical activity
  • Substance use
