Turning your gifts into hope

Regions Hospital is at the center of countless health care journeys. And when you make a gift to Regions Hospital Foundation, you help us provide the support and inspiration necessary to continue serving patients – both today and into the future.

Thanks to your generous gifts, Regions Hospital is able to be there for whoever is in need. Your donations also help support bold steps in research, improving the quality of life for those in our community, our state and beyond. We want to continue supporting and growing these vital services, programs and initiatives for generations to come – and with your help, we will.

Our funding priorities

To reflect the role that Regions Hospital has in our community and the expertise of researchers and staff, our foundation has several areas of focus. These include accessibility to emergency and trauma care, mental health care, cancer care and research, and neuroscience.

"The series of doctors I saw when I was diagnosed saved my life. I think it’s important to pay back."

Mission in Action fund

The past few years have illustrated just how crucial the mission of Regions Hospital is to our community. Our readiness to respond quickly to crisis has shown its significance, as well as our ability to meet our community’s growing and evolving need for care. Today, we have a unique opportunity to maintain and expand our ability to provide high-quality care that is ready, safe, equitable, compassionate and available to all.

Our Mission in Action fund helps the leadership of Regions Hospital answer to the occasion by investing in technology, equipment, education and staff support. Through projects large and small, the Mission in Action fund honors the heritage of Regions while helping the hospital fulfill its commitment to the future.

Regions is proud to be one of the leading cancer care hospitals in the Twin Cities, a distinction made possible by the generosity of Regions Hospital Foundation donors. Your donations help to provide holistic support and education to patients and families, helping them learn about their illness, manage their treatment and thrive in recovery.

Your assistance also supports our world-class research facilities, helping us expand our clinical trial programs and ensure that hospital patients have access to the best new cancer treatments. By helping us expand our care space and research labs, we’re able to meet the needs of our patients and remove barriers for community members who need care the most.

The HealthPartners Neuroscience Center combines clinical care, rehabilitation services and research into one industry-leading facility. Thanks to foundation donors, we’ve capitalized on this exciting new chapter by extending the center’s ability to care for patients while developing groundbreaking research.

Foundation contributions help the center educate patients and the community on injury prevention and disease management and support, as well as to support the well-being of patients and families living with dementias like Alzheimer’s. Support of the foundation also helps the neuroscience center in advancing research to develop innovative treatments and cures for many neurological conditions.

As the largest provider of emergency care and the only Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center in the East Metro and western Wisconsin, Regions Hospital provides high-quality and safe critical care to patients of all ages.

The need for emergency care is already great. The Regions Hospital Emergency Center treats nearly 90,000 patients a year. And that number is projected to steadily grow into the future. Your contribution will help Regions keep its commitment to our community as needs increase.

During a mental health crisis, the need for care is immediate. People turn to Regions because of the hospital’s unique resources, including an all-private room facility and a full team of mental health providers available seven days a week.

However, due to local hospital closures and cutbacks, the number of beds dedicated to mental health care in the Twin Cities is not enough to meet demand. As a result, the mental health care facility at Regions is consistently at 98-100% capacity. When capacity is met, the urgent need for care has to be delayed – a wait that can prevent those that need help from seeking it. With your donation, Regions Hospital Foundation can help provide the additional resources necessary to help reduce or eliminate the delays that keep patients from getting the care they need.

Connecting donors with other causes

Beyond our areas of focus, Regions Hospital Foundation also works closely with donors to match their personal philanthropic interests with hospital departments in need of support. Contact our foundation staff to learn more about how to give to other Regions Hospital initiatives.
