I am deeply passionate about working with survivors of burn and trauma and feel privileged to be a part of each patient's healing process. Burn and trauma injuries affect the entire family and I work closely with patients and their support system from the onset of injury as well as months and years after an injury. I emphasize cognitive behavioral strategies in working to improve acute stress and PTSD symptoms. My work has also focused on the areas of grief, loss, cosmetic differences, hidden burns/injuries, survivors guilt and survivors of work injuries.

I enjoy working with patients of all ages and use a collaborative, patient-driven approach to help individuals to get back to living their lives. I facilitate a burn support group, coordinate a peer support program, and have a special interest in addressing body image and sexuality concerns during recovery. My published work includes articles and chapters regarding trauma and burn recovery.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending my free time with my family, daughter and friends. I also love to run races of all distances and especially enjoy beach vacations.

I am an active member of the American Burn Association (ABA) and a consulting professional and supporter for the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors.
