Koren L. Kaye, MD
- Practicing Specialty: Emergency Medicine
I started my medical career as an Emergency Medical Technician, volunteering with a local ambulance service. I enjoyed working with a variety of patients that all had one thing in common; they suddenly found themselves in need of assistance due to an emergency in their lives. While in medical school, I was again drawn to the specialty of emergency medicine. I enjoy the variety the specialty provides. There is certainly nothing routine about working in an emergency department.
While my work is focused on seeing patients, I am also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
When I'm not working, I enjoy swimming, kayaking, wild flower gardening and playing with my dogs.
I am a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM).
