I enjoy working with people of all ages and populations as each developmental stage brings its own joys and challenges. I have experience working with children as young as two through adult and with both individuals and families. Growing up in a military family, I learned at a young age to appreciate and respect diversity of race, religion, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds. Each individual who walks through the door deserves the attention and support for whatever ails them. I find this approach also enriches my spirit as we share and grow as a collective.

Special interests include working with schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders, personality disorders and trauma. In children I have interest in oppositional behaviors, attachment, and trauma related disorders. I have experience with adoption and foster care as well.

My approach is a blend of client-centered and cognitive behavioral approaches for both children and adults. I believe people need to be in the lead of their own transformation and journey. With support and reassurance, combined with directiveness and practical solutions, I believe a balanced approach is found. I also provide play therapy to assist children to communicate in a language natural to their process.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family. I have a wife, daughter, and two dogs that consume much of my free time. We enjoy participating in community events, shopping and watching movies. I also enjoy crocheting, painting and experimenting in the kitchen.
