- Practicing Department: Mental Health
- Social Worker
I chose to become a social worker because I have a special interest in working with people of diverse backgrounds and connecting with them on a deeper level through psychotherapy. I see the therapeutic process as a collaborative effort and enjoy helping others find strength in themselves and improve their quality of life through narrative and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also enjoy teaching patients to utilize imagery and self-hypnosis as a means for coping with anxiety and depression, and addressing symptoms related to chronic or severe illness.
I am amazed on a daily basis by the resiliency of the people I work with as they face some of the toughest challenges in life. I feel honored to be a part of their journey.
In my spare time, I love connecting with my family and friends, playing outdoor sports, reading and gardening.
I am a member of the Minnesota Society of Clinical Hypnosis (MSCH).
