I have always been interested in the stories we carry, how we make sense of our experiences and how we heal. That's why I was drawn to social work and therapy. I enjoy working with all ages. My areas of special interest include trauma, abuse, relationship conflicts, life transitions, grief and loss and LGBTQ individuals. I work with patients to explore their strengths, struggles, needs and goals. Honoring each person's identity and story, I listen with curiosity and without judgement. Focusing on my patients' wisdom, strengths and life experiences, we work in partnership to discover what they need to heal.

I often incorporate mindfulness, guided imagery, strength-based approaches, somatic techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Task Centered Therapy. In addition to an array of therapeutic techniques, I have specialized training in EMDR, which is a type of therapy that helps people heal from past experiences while decreasing negative and mixed-up self-beliefs, emotions and body sensations.

Away from work, I like to be outdoors and in nature. I enjoy watching the Lynx and the WNBA. I also enjoy playing games and spending time with family and friends.

I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).
