Level 1 Adult Trauma Center

Nationally recognized care for the most complex injuries.

Top quality care, all in one place

From accidents to serious injuries, our Level 1 Trauma Center can handle the most complex cases. If you’re injured, come to the emergency department. The trauma care team will assess and treat you as quickly as possible and care for you throughout your stay.

Level 1 means we’re verified by the American College of Surgeons as having the highest level of trauma and burn care for critically injured adults and kids. We’re the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the east metro. And we’re one of just three Level 1 Trauma centers in the Twin Cities that can take care of your whole family in one place.

Our team includes internationally recognized trauma surgeons and specialists in burn, spine, orthopedics, neurosurgery and more. We’re here 24/7. When you need us, we’ll be ready.

When you’re badly hurt, we’re here for you

While injuries and accidents aren’t something you can predict, you can count on this: Your care team will be with you every step of the way.

Your trauma surgeons, doctors and nurses will work together to create a care plan. We partner with specialists, who are onsite and can see you right away. If rehabilitation is recommended after treatment, our Rehabilitation Center is also onsite. All the care you need is at Regions.

Critical Care Research Center

We’re always looking at how we can make your care — and recovery — even better. That’s why our onsite center conducts clinical research in eight specialty areas, including emergency medicine, emergency medical services, intensive care and trauma.

We’re actively studying stroke, traumatic brain injuries, cardiac arrest resuscitation, deep venous thrombosis prevention and pain management.
